FRAMEWORK

This illustration is my interpretation of the ADDIE Model. Ever since I was first introduced to this model in class, all I could think about is how this model can be used in decisions that we make in our daily lives and not just in Instructional design. The road represents the road of life, when we are faced with important and complex decisions we usually try to make the best informative decision based on the information we have and then plan accordingly. I see myself going through these steps as I have outlined them below but I have the evaluation throughout the journey because one must evaluate the situation several times during the process and adjust accordingly.

Reflect / Analyze:

In this stage individuals think about what they hope to achieve by looking at all the information around them, analyzing it and coming to a conclusion thus determining their desired outcomes or goals.

Identify / Design:

Having identified the “End results”, individuals go on to determine what skills are needed to achieve them.

Plan / Develop:

Next individual’s plan how they will take all this information they have gathered and use it in the best way possible to achieve the goals they have set. This includes identifying the materials and skills that will be needed and how they will be used.

Execute / Implement:

The final step is the one where everything comes to life and plans are put into action by implementing the design.

Assess/ Evaluate:

In order to achieve true success once must conduct numerous evaluations during the entire process. Unlike theory, in reality no matter how much you plan, things do not always go as intended and there are always unanticipated issues that come up and that is why assessment and re-evaluation is needed throughout the journey and it is not just a time process.
